Manning Publications recently announced the launch of “Functional Programming in Scala”, a book that I’m writing along with Paul Chiusano and Tony Morris. Currently the first chapter is available online for free, and the 5th chapter is available through the Manning Early Access Program. More chapters will be made available soon.

It’s a long-time waited book!
Thanks for the job!

Is it possible to buy signed copies somewhere when the book is released?
We’ll see if we can organize that.
I pre-ordered it. I really liked what is there so far, and am looking forward to more.
Looking forward to it. Table of contents looks great.
What I’ve read till now (I’ve bought the MEAP version) is very promising. Being myselft into clojure, I hope most of the principles and ideas of the book will be transferable to this language.
Waiting for it with impatience.
For me, screwed by OO and assembler, it is last chance to start understanding of FP and use functional aproach to tackle complexity of software development in today’s multicore era.
